A victory for East St. Louis voters (Belleville News-Democrat)

For years when anyone suggested abolishing the East St. Louis election board, St. Clair County Democrats stressed it was a job for the people, not them. But when the people petitioned for a vote on eliminating the board, who objected? Not any individual but the election board.
