Illinois to allow courtroom cameras on ‘experimental basis’ (Beacon-News)

The Illinois Supreme Court will open up trial courts to cameras on an experimental basis, handing news broadcasters a major victory in a 29-year battle to bring high-profile trials to the masses. It’s unclear, however, whether Cook County will be part of the experiment.
