Home . . .

I was born and raised here in Peoria, IL. This is my home. I retired from my job of 18 years in Springfield, IL, effective November 1, 2016 and came here to stay with my buddy who I grew up with to get some things finished and settled before heading out to travel the country in my self-converted campervan. Things are as finished and settled as they can be for now.

Although mostly the same, a lot has changed over the years since I moved away from Peoria. Downtown is redeveloping; some streets have been rerouted; the water front is looking very nice; and, along with the explosive growth in East Peoria — presumably due to the riverboat — the northern part of Peoria has developed a lot and expanded. Land that used to be zoned agricultural and industrial when I left here is now a thriving business district.

While here, I got to ride in my buddy’s awesome car, his 2014 Dodge Challenger, on a few occasions; I got back into playing pool; and, we watched a lot of Star Trek, something we both continued to love well into adulthood. I also got to get a few more tattoos by Melanie Edmondson and Billy Albert of Sin In Skin Ink.
